Home Again
We just returned from the February Big Nude Boat cruise, where we sailed from Miami to Half Moon Cay, Bahamas, Amber Cove, in the Dominican Republic, Curacao, Bonaire, and Aruba. We also had four fun days at sea in the mix where the ship was the destination and the sun was always shining.
It’s a heady experience to come down from. Once the sand is shaken out of the bottom of my suitcases and they’re put back in storage, I am forced back to a reality. There isn’t a crew of smiling faces at my beck and call to make my bed, my coffee, my meals or entertain me. There aren’t any dolphins playing off the bow, or magical sunsets, crystal blue Caribbean waters, snorkeling adventures, bare beach barbecues, late-night dancing or midnight buffets and sadly, NO CHOCOLATE MOLTEN CAKE!
The weather forecast today says the same as yesterday… rain. As I pull on my boots and raincoat, I am reminded of warmer days where clothes were optional and the sun was shining. But most of all, I recall the people I met
